Rhianna came across books on meditation, mantra and pranayama at the local library when she was 15. She started practicing Hatha Yoga in her living room when she was 18 in an attempt to find personal balance.

She took her first teacher training program at The Yoga Sanctuary and was certified to teach in 2004. Since, she has participated in workshops and teacher trainings at Downward Dog with Ron Ried, Diane Bruni, Chuck Miller, Maty Ezraty, Dr. Ray Long of Bandha Yoga and Danny Paradise. She participated in a two year Functional Antatomy program with Jayelle Lindsay BScPT and has studied Kinesthetic Anatomy with Norman and Laura Allard. Her practice has been enriched by her studies with Doug Swenson, Hart Lazer and Darby.

In addition to her passion for yoga, Rhianna is pursuing a Degree in Religious Studies at the University of Toronto and a Degree in Kinesiology at York University. She taught her first University lecture on the History and Development of Yoga and Meditation at York University in January 2007.

Rhianna has volunteered with and been trained by organizations dedicated to Empowering Women and Minorities. She is particularly interested in The Social Determinants of Health, the adverse mental and physical impact of negative Stress and the benefits of Physical Activity Participation

She believes that Yoga is a holistic approach to achieving Physical, Mental and Spiritual Health and Wellness.

Rhianna teaches group classes at The Yorkville Club and Yoga Plus, Private/Customized Sessions tailored to individual needs, Yoga for Athletes and Wellness at Work.
